Week 1 & 2
Topic: My extended family
Objectives: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to state specific names for family members in the extended family such as uncle s and aunts .
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Material: Chart on extended family
Activities: Teacher mentions the extended family members such as grand father, grand mother, aunt, uncle.
Evaluation: who is an uncle? Who is an aunt?
Week 3 & 4
Topic: World animals
Objectives: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to mention some animals .
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Materials: Charts on categories of animals
Activities: The teacher shows categories of animals to pupils on charts
Evaluation: Mention some animals you know
Week 5 & 6
Topic: world of fish
Objectives: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to state which animals
are fish and at least to characteristics of fish.
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Material: Chart on fish, if possible a life fish can be made available for the lesson.
Activities: The teacher should explain the characteristics of fish displaying life fish
or in pictures.
Evaluation: Where does fish live? How does it breathe? Does fish have limbs?
Week 7 & 8
Topic: World of insects
Objectives: At the end of the of the lesson, pupils should be able to state the
Characteristics of insects.
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Material: A chart on insects, Nauneet insect packs and flash cards.
Activities: The teacher explains the characteristics of insects showing their
pictures. The theme specifies on certain class of insects.
Evaluation: Where does insect live?
Week 9 & 10
Topic: World of birds
Objectives: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to state which animals
are birds and state the main characteristics of birds.
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Material: Chart on birds ,bird, navneet bird pack.
Activity: The teacher says the characteristics that are known to birds and show
pupils a number of pictures to them .
Evaluation: Evaluation should be done mostly on characteristics .
Week 11 & 12
TOPIC: Revision, termly test, examination and closing.
