A COMPOSITION ON RELIGION

Religion plays a vital role in our society, as individual, because most human believed that what the spiritual always control the physical. Of a truth religion is the opium of the masses.      

When writing a composition about religion, you have to be very careful with your choice of words because if you use an offensive words when describing someone’s religion. It can lead to religion war or hatred between one another. This composition will be categorize into three paragraphs below.

                             PARAGRAPH STRUCTURE

Paragraph one:  write about the definition of religion and major types of religion in Nigeria.

Paragraph two: Write about the mode of worship of different religions, their worship days and places of worship.  

Paragraph 3:  write about different materials and objects of worship of each religion, the names they call God or gods and their beliefs about salvation.                                         

                                         RELIGION

Religion has to do with our belief in superhuman of gods or goddesses with controlling powers that make them to be worshipped and for people to also have faith in them. There are three (3) major types of religion in Nigeria. They are Christian Religion, Islamic religion and traditional religion.

   Christians go to church usually on Sundays to worship God. They pray to God through Jesus Christ whom they believe is the son of God. Muslims go to Mosque on Fridays to worship Allah. They are followers of Prophet Mohammed. The Traditional worshippers believe in gods or goddesses and they worship in the shrines.

Christians worship in the church and they use the Bible. Some also use cross and/or rosary. Muslims use the Quran, Tesbiu and kettle. The traditional worshipers use Oracle. Christians call their superhuman God, Muslim call him Allah while the traditional people believe in gods or goddess. For example, the god of thunder, the god of iron and so on. Each religion holds different beliefs about salvation.
