WEEK 1: The Promise of the Saviour
TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES:
- Teacher guides pupil to explain the meaning of Saviour.
- She defines Saviour as: Someone who saves you from a difficult or dangerous situation.
- She reads Mathew 1:23 for the pupils,
- She leads pupils to explain the meaning of Emmanuel.
- She explain that Emmanuel is a Hebrew word meaning “God is with us”.
- She asks pupils to memorize Mathew 1:23

WEEK 2: PROPHET ISAIAH FORETOLD THE BIRTH OF JESUS
TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES:
- Teacher reads Isaiah 7: 14, 9: 6 -7, 1:23.
- She explains the bible passages
- She briefly describes who was prophet Isaiah: A prophet in the Old Testament before the birth of Jesus.
- She recalls some of the prophecies of Isaiah concerning the birth of Jesus.
- He/she briefly defines prophesy as: A statement that something will happen in the future especially one made by someone with religious or magic power. A divine statement to man through a sacred vessel called Prophet concerning what had happened, is happening and will happen in the future.

- They name the prophets who foretold the birth of Jesus.

WEEK 3: THE TYPE OF SAVIOUR THE JEW EXPECTED
TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES:
- Teacher briefly looks back at the definition of a “saviour”
- She leads pupils to explain the meaning of a Jews: A member of the people and cultural community whose traditional religion is Judaism and who traces their origin through the ancient Hebrew people of Israel to Abraham.
- She explain the type of savior the Jews were expecting
- Conquering messiah
- Human Messiah
- Political messiah
- Rebuilder of the temple physically
- Biological father to be a descendant of David.
- She explains in detail the above mentioned types of saviour the Jews expected.

WEEK 4: THE TYPE OF SAVIOUR JESUS IS.
TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES:
- Teacher briefly looks back at the previous lesson on the type of messiah/saviour the Jews expected.
- She explains the type of saviour Jesus is:
- suffering saviour
- A redeeming saviour
- Everlasting saviour
- Sufficient saviour
- Teacher explains in details the above qualities/ characteristics of Jesus as a saviour.

WEEK 5: IMPORTANCE OF A SAVIOUR

- Teacher uses questioning method to explain the meaning of a saviour
- She asks the pupils to mention the importance of a saviour
- She lists the attributes of a saviour as follows:
- A saviour saves
- Protects
- Cares
- Provides
- Loves, etc.
- She explains the attributes listed above one after the other in a class discussion

WEEK 6: ROMISE OF THE COMFORTER

- Teacher reads john 14: 26, 15: 26
- She explains the passage read to the pupils
- She leads pupils on the meaning of the Holy Spirit: i.e. the third person in the trinity, God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit.
- Teacher mentions the features of the holy spirit
- He can speak
- He is alive
- Self- aware
- Omniscient
- He is fully God
- Invisible, etc.
- She further explains the promises of the holy spirit in acts 1 verse 1-8

WEEK 8: THE COMING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND HIS WORK.
TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES:
- Teacher explains to the pupils the coming of the holy spirit as promised of god fulfilled in the lives of Christians acts 2: 1-4
- She appropriates the attributes of the holy spirit to obedience, faith, and Christ – like living
- She mentions the work of the holy spirit on the apostles as follows
- Boldness
- Power
- Healing
- Comfort
- Protection
- deliverance
- Teacher lead a discussion on areas of pupils life they can appropriate the power of the holy spirit in.
- She explains how the virtue of the Holy Spirit apply to Christians today.
- She leads the class in prayer for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

- Teacher reads Act 1 verse 6 – 12.
- She guided pupils to explain the bible passage read
- She tells the story of Jesus ascension and promise of his coming
- Teacher state when and how Jesus will return
- She explains the preparation for his second coming. Mathew 25: 1 -3, Mathew 28: 19 -20.
- She narrates the parable of the 10 virgins
- She explains how to get prepared
- Repent and believed in Jesus
- Be vigilant
- Watch and pray
- Be righteous etc.
- Teacher draws out the practical lessons of

- Vigilance in order to fully prepare for his second coming

WEEK 11: REASONS FOR THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS

- Teacher guides pupils on the reasons for the second coming Jesus.
- He highlights the reasons as follows:
- To end the great struggles between good and evil
- To resurrect the dead and transform faithful believers lives.
- To give fair recompense for all
- To create a new heaven and new earth.
- Teacher guides pupils to identify things they need to change in their lives in in class discussion.
- She leads pupils to pray for change.
