MEANING OF PEACE EDUCATION
Peace refers to a situation where there is no conflict, violence or war.
Peace education means living in friendship with others. It is the absence of war or violence in an area. Peace enlightening people to live in friendship and avoid war and violence.
Tolerance means accepting other people the way they are.
CHARACTERISTICS OF TOLERANCE
- Respect other peoples behaviours and ways of doing things.
- Forgive others
- Accommodate other people
- Be slow to anger.
Cooperation means working together towards a shared aim
ATTRIBUTE OF COOPERATION
- communal effort
- shared responsibilities
- helping one another in times of needs
- Willingness to assist.
NATIONAL UNITY is when people in a country are in agreement and work together.
Things that promotes national unity
