WEEK 2: Basic Skills in Ball Games. (Football)

TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES:

1. Teachers guides pupils in warm up activities on the school playground
2. She leads pupils to give the meaning of ball games. I.e. any game played with a ball.
3. She leads the class on the meaning of football game i.e.  A game played by two teams of eleven each side on a rectangular field.
4. She mentions the basic skills in football games as follows
5. Passing
6. Trapping
7. Heading
8. Kicking
9. Throwing etc.
10. Teacher explains the skills mentioned in football
11. She demonstrates the skills
12. She supervises the pupils.

3. She leads the class to explain “Tennis” as a game of two pairs of people who use rackets to hit a small soft ball backwards and forwards over a net.

Basket Ball is an outdoor game between two teams of nine players. The players try to get points by hitting a ball and running around four bases.
