CONTENT
HISTORY OF VOLLEYBALL IN NIGERIA
Volleyball started from United States of America in 1895. It was developed by William G. Morgan. The sport was introduced to Nigeria in 1933 at the Baptist College, Ogbomosho. Volleyball can be played indoors or outdoors. A team ids made up of six players but beach volley ball is either played by two or three players on each side.
FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT OF VOLLEYBALL
the game is played on a rectangular court of 18 by 9 metres. The court surface must be level and not rough or slippery. The equipment consists of a round leather ball of 65 to 67cm in circumference and weighing 260 to 28 grams and a net of 9.50m long and 1m wide.
