MEANING OF LOYALTY
Loyalty is being faithful, showing support to a person, institution or something. As a good citizen of a country. We have to be loyal and supportive to our nation.
EVIDENCE OF LOYALTY
- Obedience to parents, elders, leaders in the society.
- Obedience to rules and regulations in the society.
- Respect to our parents, elders, leaders.
- Respect for nation and national symbols.
- Strong spirit to serve and defend our nation.
- Good representation of our nation.
- Standby even when things are tough.
- Rendering assistance and making personal sacrifice.
CONSEQUENCES OF DISLOYALTY
Disloyalty is showing unfaithfulness to the nation or fellow human.
The following are the consequences of disloyalty:
- Attack from external enemies.
- Delay in development.
- High level of corruption
- Failure
- Poverty
SOME NATIONAL AGENCIES WHICH SHOW LOYALTY
- Military Services such as Nigeria Army, Air force, Navy.
- Law enforcement Services such as Economic and financial crime Commission (EFCC), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) etc.
- National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
- Voluntary Services such as the Girls’ Guide, Red Cross, Man – O – War, Boys’ Scout, and some other Non-Governmental Organization.
