            AN IMPORTANT PERSON I KNOW

                                               Teacher’s Activities

Activity one (1): Draw out sentences from the pupils about some very important persons they know in their locality. Make them talk about why they think those people are important.

Activity two (2): Tell them about some important people you know and explain to them why you think they are important.

Activity two (2): To guide the pupils in writing a detailed composition about the topic, write and explain the following guidelines on the board.

Activity three (3): Look at, interpret, and explain the example.

                                  GUIDELINES

Paragraph one (1):  Write a brief description of the person like the name of the person, state of origin, height, complexion, age, etc.

Paragraph two (2): Write about his/her Job/Occupation or position in the society or locality. Also write about his behaviour and attitude towards people.

Paragraph three (3): Write about why you think the person is very important.

COMPOSITION: An Important Person I know

   An important person I know is Mr. Praise. He is from Lagos state, south – west Nigeria. He is of average height and dark in complexion. Mr. Praise is about forty years old and looks very handsome.

   Honourable P as he is always being called is the Executive Chairman of Eti- Osa Local Government, Lekki in Lagos state. He is a kind hearted man who treats everybody he comes across with respect.

He shows love to the people of Eti -Osa Local Government Area and provides them with necessary amenities they need. He is very honest and hate cheating other people. He is a good manager. He spends the money he get from the Lagos state Government very well in developing Eti – Osa Local Government Area.      

   Mr. Praise is an important person to me and many other people. He is very popular, kind, friendly and decent in every aspect of life. He is very popular, kind, friendly and decent in every aspect of life. He is y role model and I look up to him. He has done so much for Eti – Osa Local Government and he was given the Nigerian Best Local Government Chairman Award last year. I love him so much.
