This is to inform all Principal, Proprietor, Proprietress, Teachers and Students that the Director of Lagos State Government Ministry of Education Examinations Board has release the Practical BECE Guideline for CCA 2022 Academic Session.

GUIDELINE / ENTRY FOR PRACTICALS IN CULTURAL AND CREATIVE ARTS (CCA)
- I am directed to inform you that in line with Basic Education Policy, it is mandatory for every candidate taking part in cultural and Creative Art in Basic Examination Certificate Examination at the Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) to take part in the practical aspect of the subject.
- Schools presenting candidate (s) for this subject must prepare materials indicated in each section below for the candidates.
- All candidate (s) taking part in this Practical aspect will be made to produce ONE work only from any section of their choice.
A. GRAPHICS
- Calligraphy: Lagos State is a model State guided by her administration’s six strategic development agenda. Produce a Calligraphic write – up on LAGOS STATE THEMES agenda. Size: Full Imperial.
- Poster Design: Bullying particularly in schools has become a prevalent form of youth violence, aggressiveness and torture which sometimes leads to death. Design a poster to campaign against Bullying in Secondary schools.
Media: Gouche or ANY other suitable media.
Size: Full Imperia
B. CRAFTS
- Mosaic: Use plastic bottle caps to create colourful mosaic of a Landmark that is important to school.
NB: creativity in assemblage and originality will be highly rewarded.
2. Collage: produce LAGOS STATE CREST using any locally – sourced materials such as buttons, coloured paper, threads, shells etc.

C. MUSIC
Solo Performance (Vocal or Instrumental)
- Run the scale of F major, one Octave in ascending and descending order.
- Performing a scored melody (Local or Foreign)not more than a page, to be performed within 5 minutes in any key of your choice
Group Performance (Choir or Band)
- Run the scale of F major, one Octave in ascending and descending order.
- Performing a scored Music in Harmony (i.e in 2, 3 or 4 parts, either local or foreign)
*Please note that we encourage creativity and expect students to improvise where necessary.
Schools are requested to forward to the board starting from Monday 14th March to Thursday 14th April 2022. The list of candidates (score sheet) writing the subject using the format below:
- PLEASE NOTE: SCHOOLS THAT FAILED TO SUBMIT PRACTICAL LIST ON OR BEFORE THE STIPULATED DATE WILL NOT BE ASSIGNED ASSESSORS
