CONTENT OF THE LESSON

MEANING OF GOVERNMENT

Government is a body of people who controls the public affairs of a state or country.

Democracy Government

This type of government is chosen by the people it is done through election, whereby people cast their vote for their prefer candidate. The government ensure that people are treated equally. Democratic government can practice a a presidential system of government or parliamentary system of government.

Parliamentary system of government

In parliamentary government or cabinet government the head of state is different from the head of government. The president is the head of state while the prime minister is the head of the government. It is the parliament that have power to make and execute laws.

Presidential government

The presidential system of government is the one that the president is the head of government and they have fixed tenure to serve before another person will be elected. The government follows the constitution.
