BASIC GYMNASTIC ACTIVITIES
The basic gymnastic activities are:
- FLOOR ACTIVITIES
- ACTIVITIES WITH APPARATUS
- STUNTS
FLOOR ACTIVITIES
Floor activities includes:
- Forward roll: the body is made to roll forward like a ball.
- Backward roll: the body is made to roll backward like a ball.
- Cart wheel: it is performed to imitate the wheel of a cart.
ACTIVITIES WITH APPARATUS
They include:
- Swinging: it involves moving backward or forward from side to side while hanging from affixed point such as horizontal bar, rope or parallel bars.
- Vaulting::it involves running for a short distance, a jump and the use of hands in order to clear and obstacle. Vaulting can be Horizontal Astride Vault and Cast Spring
- Somersaulting: it is an activity in which a person jumps and turns over completely with the feet passing over the head.
- Climbing: In climbing, the hands are used to lift the bodies and support the weight. Climbing helps build up the arms. Examples are climbing ladders, ropes, uneven bars.
STUNTS
Stunts can be performed either individually or with a partner to develop strength, flexibility and agility of the body. Stunts are groupedinto

They are performed by individuals. Examples are:
- Hands stand against wall
- Handspring: the person will run for a short distance and bring the left foot forward.
- Squat hand Balance
PARTNER STUNTS
They are performed with a partner:

- Kangaroo March: List is performed to imitate a Kangaroo.
- Head stand with support: It is performed by balancing on the head and hands with the feet straight overhead.
- Back to Back Toss: one of the partners tosses the other over his back.
