WEEK 1

TOPIC:  What is computer

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE:

Pupils should be able to:

1. Say the meaning of computer.

2. Give example of computer.                                                                                

CONTENT: Definition of a computer.

TEACHER ACTIVITIES:

Explains the meaning of computer.

PUPILS ACTIVITIES:

Pupils listen to teacher explanation.

EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to:

1. define computer.

2. give example of computer.

WEEK 2

TOPIC: History of computer

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to:

1. describe how computer came into existence.

2. mention the things that were formerly used for counting before computer came into existence.   

CONTENT: History of computer.

TEACHER ACTIVITIES:

Explains how computer came into existences to the class.

PUPILS ACTIVITIES:

1. Pupils listen to teacher’s explanation.

2. Ask questions.

TOPIC: Parts of a computer e.g. monitor, system unit and keyboard

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE:  Pupils should be able to:

1. identify the monitor, system unit etc.

2. draw a computer showing the monitor etc.                                                     

CONTENT: Parts of a computer e.g. monitor, system unit, keyboard.

TEACHER ACTIVITIES:

Draw a computer showing the monitor, system unit etc.

PUPILS ACTIVITIES:

Picture showing computer and the parts.
