LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT TEACHING SERVICE COMMISSION (TESCOM)

The Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) invites suitably qualified individuals with a degree in Education and other requisite credentials to apply for teaching positions across public secondary schools in the state. This initiative is in line with the government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector and enhancing teaching standards across Lagos State.

The job portal, which will be accessible for two weeks — from Tuesday, 1st July 2025 to Monday, 14th July 2025 — is intended to provide a centralised platform where interested candidates can apply for entry-level teaching positions (Grade Level 08) in their respective fields. Applicants are advised to read the guidelines carefully and ensure all requirements are met before submitting their applications.

LAGOS STATE TEACHERS’ RECRUITMENT 2021

The attention of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has been drawn to various scams and fraudulent practices arising from the on-going Online Registration for Secondary School Teachers in Lagos State.

For the avoidance of doubt, the authentic Requirements for Teachers’ Registration as approved by the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission are as follows:

Applicant must be a Nigerian with the Lagos State Residents Registration (LASRRA) Number;
Applicant must not be less than 18years of age;
Applicant must have at least 5 credits in O’Level and possess a degree in Education from a recognized University;
Non Education graduate must possess a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Education from a recognized University;
Applicant must have good writing, communication and IT skills;
Applicant must be ready to work in any division of Lagos State.
