Week 1& 2
Topic: Animals and their movement
Objectives: At the end of the lesson , pupils should be able to state the way a
particular animal move e.g snake- craw, man- walk.
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Materials: pictures and videos of animals (active animals)
Activities: The teacher explains mode of movement of various animals to the
pupils e.g snake- craws , frog – jumps, cow – walks etc.
Evaluation: Ask pupils to mention how a particular animal moves .
Week 3 & 4
Topic: Function of Leaves
Objectives: At the end of the lesson , pupils should be able to mention a few
functions of leaves to plants , and the environment.
Lesson: 2 Lesson
Material: potted plants , plants around the school, charts on plants.
Activities: The teacher explains using appropriate charts, the function of leaves to
plnts ,man , and the environment .
Evaluation: Ask relevant questions on the topic.
Week 5 & 6
Topic: Plant and lightWater sources and uses
Objective: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to state the
importance of light to growing plants.
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Materials: plants grown in the class and the plants grown in the cupboard
Activities: The teacher explains using the difference between the two plants to
show the imports of light to growing plants
Evaluation: Ask relevant questions
Week 7 & 8
Topic: Oceans of the world
Objectives: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to mention the oceans
of the world .
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Materials; The globe and the atlas
Activities: The teacher explains using the globe, the oceans of the world i.e atlantic, pacific, actic, Indian .
Evaluation: Ask questions on the topic
Week 9 & 10
Topic: Water sources and uses
Objectives: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to state the sources of
water and its uses.
Lesson: 2 Lessons
Materials: Charts on water sources and uses, rest rooms and wash hand basins in
the school.
Activities: The teacher explains using relevant charts and facilities, the source s of
water and its uses.
Evaluation: 1. Mention two uses of water 2. Mention 3 sources of water
Week 11: Revision, examination and closing.
