- Teacher guides pupils to explain the meaning of hospitality
- She defines hospitality as friendly behaviour towards visitors
- She asks the pupils to tell the class occasion when they were hospitable in the past
- She mentions some traits of hospitality thus:
- Feeding the hungry
- Helping the needy
- Comforting the grieved
- Caring for the sick

- They explain how they were hospitable in the past
- They asked and answer questions
- They mention some traits of hospitality

WEEK 3: NEEDS AND REASONS FOR BEING HOSPITABLES
TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES:
- Teacher reads romans 12;1, Hebrew 13:2.
- She explains the passage of the bible to pupils
- She leads pupils to identify the need for being hospitable
- She explains to pupils that God commanded us to be kind and hospitable.
- She mentions the following reasons for hospitable
- To obey God’s commandment
- To show love
- To save life
- To help the needy
- To receive gift from God as evident in Abraham hospitable actions, etc.
- She organizes a class discussion when they share their experience of occasions of hospitability either to themselves or their parents.

WEEK 4: Instances of people who demonstrated hospitality in the bible
TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES:
- Teacher briefly look back at the definition of hospitality
- She reads Abraham’s story in Gen 218: 1 – 10, when he displayed hospitality to three angels who disguise as strangers
- Teacher reads 1 kings 17: 7 -16 to explain the story of the widow at zeraphat who entertained Prophet Elijah and received gift of a son.
- She asks the pupils to mention the lesson/s/ they have learnt from the two stories
- Teacher gives her own example of people who have shown kindness to strangers.
- She displays pictures/ drawings of Abraham and Sarah welcoming the Angels and widows at Zeraphath welcoming Elijah

- She leads pupils to mention some of the moral responsibilities to friends
- She mentions the following as moral responsibilities to friends
- Truth
- Loyalty
- Sacrifice
- Compromise
- Tolerance etc.
- She explains the responsibilities mentioned above in details.

- She describes he kind of love that existed between Jonathan and David
- She organizes a short drama to illustrate the story.
- She leads a class discussion to draw out lessons from the story of Jonathan and David(e.g. to be one’s brother ‘s keeper)
- She explains the kind of love that should exist among people.

- Teacher leads pupils to explain the meaning of help
To help means: to make it possible or easier for someone to do something by doing part of their or by giving them something they need
- She explains what a true friend does to a friend in need or in danger using the story of the good Samaritan in Luke 10: 29 – 37.
- Teacher asks pupils the lesson they have learnt in the bible story
- She points out how people today show love and unselfishness to other people.

- She explains instances in the bible to illustrate people desiring peaceful co-existence e.g
- Abraham and lot – Genesis 13: 1 -12
- Esau and Jacob – Genesis 27 verse 33, etc.
- She organizes a class discussion on the lessons learnt from the instances explained above
- Teacher explains how people can show the desire for peaceful co –existence e.g
