                       TOPIC CONTENT

Home:  A home is where we live at a particular time.

Appliances: they are devices that are very useful for a particular job.

Home Appliances are devices that are used at home to perform some household functions such as cooking, cleaning, food preservation etc. some home appliances can be electrical or mechanical machines lie fridge, electric cooker, television, radio etc.

TYPES OF HOME APPLIANCES.

Home appliances can be categorized into

1. Electrical  appliances: they are devices that make use of electricity to perform its function

Examples of electrical appliances are:

1. Television
2. Radio
3. Fan
4. Refrigerator

• Non electrical appliances: they are device that do not use electricity to perform its function.

Examples of non-electrical appliances are:

• Chair
• Table
• Bell
• Pencil
• Cupboard
• biro

USES OF HOME APPLIANCES

1. Micro wave oven: it is used for warming cold food
2. Freezer: used for the storage of frozen food
3. Stove, gas are used for cooking
4. Chair is used for sitting
5. Washing machine is used for washing and drying of  cloths

INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURE

• The Teacher revises the previous lesson (first Aid).
• The Teacher introduces the topic.
• The Teacher explains the lessons.
• The Teacher write the note on the board.
