WEEK 2 – 6:  CHARACTERISTICS OF UNDERDEVELOPED TECHNOLOGY

TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES:

1. Teacher uses questioning methods to remind pupils about the meaning of underdeveloped technology.
2. She guides pupils to mention examples of underdeveloped technology e.g. farming with hoes and cutlasses.
3. She leads pupils to mention some characteristics of underdeveloped technology
4. Poor transportation
5. Lack of good medical care.
6. Poor farming method etc.

PUPILS ACTIVITIES

1. Pupils explain underdeveloped technology
2. They mention examples of underdeveloped technology.
3. They list the characteristics of underdeveloped technology.
4. They observe pictures of underdeveloped technology.

2. She leads pupils to mention some characteristics of developed technology
3. Improved communication system e.g. Mobile phone.
4. Improved transportation system cars, aero plane etc.
5. Good medical care e.g. modern hospital and health facilities. Etc.
6. Teacher displays pictures and posters of developed technology e.g. use of mobile phone, use of automobile.

PUPILS ACTIVITIES:

1. Pupils give meaning of developed technology.
2. They mention examples of developed technology
