- Meaning of respect.
LESSON OBJECTIVES:
Pupils should be able to:
- Define respect with examples.

- Picture of children in greeting elders.
WEEK 3: Ways of Showing Respect.
- Salutation/greeting e.g. bowing, kneeling, prostrating, etc.
- Running errands
LESSON OBJECTIVES:
Pupils should be able to:
- State at least three ways of showing respects.
TEACHING/LEARNING RESOURCES/AIDS:
- Charts of children greeting their elders in their localities.
WEEK 4: People to Respect
- Parents
- Elders
- Teachers
- Principal
- Head teachers
LESSON OBJECTIVES:
Pupils should be able to:
- Define respect
- List examples of people to be respected.

- Pictures of parents
- Teachers
- Head teacher etc.
WEEK 5: People to Respect
E.g. people who represent authorities like ministers, senators, governors, president, uniform men.
LESSON OBJECTIVES:
Pupils should be able to:
- State examples of people to be rejected in the society.

- A chart showing some citizens saluting the governor.
WEEK 6: Places to Respect
- Government buildings e.g. offices
- Banks
- Law courts
- National assembly etc.
LESSON OBJECTIVES:
Pupils should be able to:
- List at least four places to be respected.

- Pictures of government buildings e.g. national assembly, law courts, banks etc.
WEEK 7: Places to Respect

WEEK 9: Things to Respect
- The constitution
- National flag
- National anthem
- The pledge

Pupils should be able to:
- Demonstrate how to respect the national anthem and the national pledge.
- Sing the national anthem and recite the national pledge.
