The plot summary
This novel is about the menace of street children and its destructive vices such as prostitution, drugs and alcoholism, stealing, b egging etc. It is a story about a girl called Fofo. A child growing in a hostile world without parent, guidance, nature and protection. Like her siblings, Fofo gets n the street as last resort. Hunger and failure of parent to take care or responsibilities forced Fofo and her sister Baby T out on the streets to beg and steal. The proceeds they get from begging complement their mother’s meager resources. But Fofo eventually abandons home and join a gang when home became uncomfortable to return to as a result of their step father’s randy behavior. Even on the street, Fofo is not allowed to be herself, one of the attractions of street life. There is Macho, the bully an Poison, the street lord to contend with. Their interest takes procedure over the lives of Fofo and her fellow traveler on the streets. They set the rules and interpret them in their own way. It is either Fofo and his kinds obey them or they face torture.

Week Three (3)
Title: Revision of non African prose
The Native son by RICHARD WRIGHTS.
THE PLOT SUMMARY
This play is about a poor black family in the (midst) throes of racial discrimination and abject poverty. Bigger Thomas, the central character is twenty years. He lives with his mother Mrs. Dalton, and his sibling, buddy and Vera, in a cramped one room apartment in south side Chicago, a black surburbreelign with squaler, despair and fear. As mother and children wake up from sleep, a huge rat sprawls across the room. There is frenzy. Bigger and others take position and overpower the rat. Bigger kill it with a skillet.
Bigger lives in a perpetual dependency, resentment, and fear, “I don’t know. I just feel that way; every time I get to thinking about me being black and they being white, me being here and they being there, I feel like something awful is going to happen to me…..” (Book 1-50) he tells us, one of his friends – Bigger learns to realize his hatred for his white oppressors in crime and a façade of toughness. He delay’s a relief job facilitated for him to have tome to participate in robbery plan with his gang. This is the first time Bigger’s gang will plan to rob a white man. Their past victim have been blacked. Bigger fears robbing a white man but he does not want offer gang members to know. To ensure that the robbery against Blum is not carried out he deliberately instigates a fight with Gus, a members of his gang.
He takes up a job later, with Mr. Dalton, a benevolent rich white man. Dalton is a capitalist, the owner of the house Bigger’s family lives. He is a philanthropist. He donates money to black schools and offers jobs to black people. His works particularly, Peggy speaks wells of his family. Chapter 1 line 87.
Through Bigger’s new employer received him with open aims the hatred he nurses against white skin blinds him to the prospects time, he comes in close contact with the white world.
On his first day at work, he drives many, the only child of the Daltons to meet her boyfriend Jan. she had lied to her father she was going to school (chapter 1 line 95). Jan is a communist. Many shares his ideals to racial tolerance and human equality. They take bigger as a pal. He drives them round town and takes them later to Erniels kitchen shack for food and drink.
They left for home drunk. On the way, Jan leaves them for his journey home. When they got home, Mary was too drunk to make it to her bedroom on her own. Bigger helps her up and begins to kiss her.
Mrs Dalton comes into the room but she is blind and cannot see Bigger. She feels the smell of Drin and conclude her daughter is drunk. She did not know that bigger had smothered her to death while covering her face with pillow to prevent her from revealing his presence. Ignorantly, Mrs. Dalton prays for her daughter and returns to her room. Bigger tricks to cover his fire by burning Mary’s body in the family furnace. He plans to make it a case of kidnapping for which Jan will be held responsible……

REVISION ON AFRICAN DRAMA
HARVEST OF CORRUPTION
THE SUMMARY (PLOT)
This is a sentimental drama it is all about corruption and its consequences. Chief Ade Amaka stinks of corruption. He use his high government position and social networks to enrich himself, enlists others in the corruption chains and destroy the innocent unsuspecting young men and women o fast lane. Chief Ade Amaka works in charge of the external affairs ministry in his country. He is entitle to a fat salary and all the packs of office that his position attracts legitimately. But these are not enough for him. He devices corrupt means to gather more wealth and cover up his tracks. He leans to falsify office documents to embezzle state funds; use his official position to struggle goods into country and engage in the high lucrative illicit drug business.
Ochuole, a chief admin officer in his ministry is the arrow head of the minister’s corruption machine. She has a notorious past at the university. According to Aloho one of her past victims. (scene 1).
She was employed at the external affair ministry and became Chief Ade Amaka hand maid in corruption.
She was able to lured Aloho into the business, although Aloho was being warned by Ogechi her room, but she refused to listen to her, which landed her in a serious trouble at the international airport, where she (Aloho) was discovered as drug trafficking. She regretted her action, and was letter bailed out by the honorable, Chief Ade Amaka was later, arrested and was tried in the court. He sentence to twenty five (25) years imprisonment.
Aloho later died at child birth as a result of improper care and trauma she went through during the pregnancy.

REVISION ON HOW AFRICAN DRAMA
Title: She stoops to conquer by Oliver Gold smiths
THE PLOT SUMMARY
This play in centered on the mis-understanding encountered by Marlow on his way to the home of Mr. Hard castle where the intends to meet his future wife: just as the customs was in England in eighteen century, Sir Charles Marlow had made plans for his son to marry a daughter of his friend, Hastings, to Hard castle’s house as advance team with the hope of joining them later.
The visitors missed their way. They meet Tony Lampkin, a member of Hard castle’s family. He is aware of their mission but mischievously directed them wrongly because he has an axe to grind with his step father; (acts, 11)
He directed them to t he night house but tell them it was an inn; for this misinformation Marlow takes his future father inlaw for an in keeper, and behaves contrary to what Hard castle had been told about him. Sir Charles had painted his son as a gentle man, modest, civil and virtuous. But at the inn, Marlow behaves like a bully banal, barking at everyone. He issues orders to his future in-laws and shout down on the servants. This is an aspect of Marlow his father never knew. He has a split personality. He could be gentle or rude depending on the social circumstances he find himself.
Mr. & Mrs. Hardcastle are disappointed at the behavior exhibited (display) by their much cherished future son-in-law. Their expectation of a comfortable, rich, blissful, marital home for their daughter is shatter, but Kate has a different opinion of Marlow she ahs related with Marlow in two ways within the short time had stayed in the inn. In her presence, Marlow had come out shy, gentle and somehow fearful of the opposite sex. These traits vanished at another occasion when Marlow mistaking Kate for a baron aid, lust after her, flirting over her boldly and lewdly. Neither Hardcastle nor Sir Charles believers Kate second impression about Marlow. Judging from her first meeting with Marlow, Kate cannot believe her father’s impression of a rude carefree Marlow. But Marlow’s flirtations with her when she disguised as a barmaid also contradicted Sir Charles impressions.
Meanwhile, Constance Nelly Mrs. Hardcastle’s cousin discovers the mistake of Marlow and hasting. They thought they were in an inn. Kate, Nelly and Hasting conspire to keep the information form Marlow. Nelly is in love with Hasting and plan to be eloping with him. But Mrs. Hardcastle was grooming her for his son, Tony, a child form his first marriage because she won’t Nelly inheritance (jewels) to remain in the family. Tony does not like the idea (Act 2:30)

B. NON AFRICAN DRAMA
Titled: A Raising In The Sun By Lorraine Hansberry.
THE PLOT SUMMARY
This play is about a black family their domestic life and social struggles to meet the challenges of class and social prejudices in a white dominated 20th century American society.
The younger family, lost their breadwinner, Big Walter, to hard labor, trying to keep the family dream of a better tomorrows. (Acts 2:3). Now Lena younger, her son, Walter and his wife, Ruth run the house. Ruth and her mother in law work as domestic. Reluctantly Walter takes a job as a driver. Berneatha a 20years old daughter is a student. Travis is the eleven year old grandson, of the house. All of them are dreamers of a great future.
The young family belongs to lower working class. They live in the rat infested south side ghetto of Chicago. Their heart are not in his ramped environment. Mama has a dream of a better house in a middle class environment for her family. Prospect of realizing her age long ambition comes with the ten thousand dollar. Insurance cheque issued in her name for her late Husband’s entitlement. But members of the family are divided on lord to spend the money. While the ladies – Ruth and Beneatha believe Mama owns the money and reserves the right to spend it as she likes, Walter lee younger thinks otherwise (Act 1:1).
He takes offence. His dreams shaffering before his very eyes. He had hoped to catapult himself into the upper class calling the shots in board rooms with the insurance money. He had wanted to invest the entire money in liquor business. He therefore pleads with his wife to speak to Mama on his behalf. She tries but Mama refuses on account of her Christianity. (Act 1, scene 2) Walker in completely devastated when Mama invests part of the money as a down payment on a house: in a middle class white neighborhood. Other members of the household are elated, especially Ruth who declares instantly (Acts 2:1).
Mama given the remaining money to Walter in an attempt to make him happy. She instruction to pay a part into a savings account for Beneatha’s education and put the balance in mother account that he can supervise. Walter goes against her mother’s advice and invest all money in his liquor business in conjunction with Wily Harris and Bobo. Dubious bringing the younger family to square one (Act 2:3)
Before then a representative of the clybourne park improvement association, Linder had come to ht e house to urge t he younger family to halt their relocation plans and give up their new house because of white residents in the areas would not want block neighbors. (Acts 2:#).
The lifter rebuffs him and continues with their plans to move into the white neighbor in spite of their financial loss, mostly on the strength of Ruth’s insistence. Walter to had become embolden and strongly insisted on the move to their dream world.
