OTHER MEMBERS OF OUR FAMILY

The following are other member of our family that are related by blood

1. Uncles: is the brother of your mother or father, or the husband of our aunt.
2. Aunts: is the sister of your mother or father, or the wife of your uncle.
3. Nephews: the son of your brother or sister, husband or wife brother children is your nephew.
4. Nieces: the daughter of brother or sister, husband or wife sister children is your niece.
5. Cousins: the children of our uncle or aunt are our cousins.

OBLIGATIONS OF OTHER MEMBERS IN THE FAMILY

1. Teaching us culture like greetings, showing respects.
2. Caring for each other.
3. Guiding and correcting us when we misbehave.
4. Telling us folk stories about life and how to relate with people around us.
5. Offering assistance when one parents are too poor to provide our needs.

ADVANTAGES OF ACCEPTING OTHER MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY INTO YOUR FAMILY

1. Learning from one another ideas.
2. Family chores are done quickly.
3. Getting help will be very easy.
4. Bring stronger bond among family members.

DISADVANTAGES OF ACCEPTING OTHER MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY INTO YOUR FAMILY

1. Some can influence others with bad behaviours.
2. It can attract criminals into the home.
3. It could lead to misbehavior from stubborn members of the family.
4. It might lead to disagreement and quarrels.

VALUES THAT PROMOTE COOPERATION IN THE FAMILY

1. Love and care for one another.
2. Show concern for one another.
3. Promote peace, equity and justice.
4. Tolerate and respect the views of others.
5. Cooperate with one another for unity to thrive.
